FC United is one of the leading supporter-owned football clubs in the country, playing in the Northern Premier League and offering sports and community facilities from our iconic Broadhurst Park stadium site. We operate a function room open on match days, plus additional match day catering outlets and bars within the ground. As well as hiring our facilities out for functions and events.

 

Cellar Manager (16 hours per week)

  • Carry out a weekly line clean ahead of functions/match day and prepare for service
  • Manage stock, ensuring empties are taken away each week and beer is ordered in time for matchdays and functions
  • Address any faults by either fixing on site or liaising with Holts technical team
  • Let the Operations Manager know of any other items which are required such as line clean solution, gas etc
  • Additional hours may be available for service at the rate of £9.50 per hour.

Candidates must have 5 years of relevant experience and must be qualified in cellar management. They should also have experience of operating bars with cask and keg ale.

Catering Manager (Contracted for 24 hours per week with further hours depending on number of functions)

Food and Beverage (F & B) provision

  • Oversee the production of good quality food to a high standard in accordance with menus
  • Manage F & B margins and GPs & overall profitability
  • Identify F & B staff training needs
  • Ensure that all food and beverage handling meet current food safety legislation requirements (including allergies) 

Ordering and equipment management

  • Order all food, drink & associated products
  • Receive and check deliveries and store and rotate all stock effectively.
  • Record any wastage or stock loss.
  • Regularly check all kitchen equipment and report any technical issues to the supplier
  • Ensure that all food, beverages and equipment are stored in a safe and secure way
  • Key holder responsibilities (as required)

Candidates must have 5 years’ experience in the catering sector. They must:

  • Experience of running mass catering operations
  • Worked with suppliers with responsibilities for ordering food and non-food catering supplies
  • Have good knowledge of HACCP systems and procedures

Have a full driving license (desirable)

If someone has the required skills then the Catering Manager and the Cellar Manager could be combined to be a full-time position.

Caretaker/Cleaner Weekend shifts to:

  • Open and close the stadium and 3G for various user groups.
  • Room set up
  • Cleaning of rooms and spaces as required

Candidates must have 3 years’ of relevant experience including at least one position with keyholder responsibilities. DBS checks and references will be required prior to appointment.

Maintenance Officer (15 hours per week – can be worked flexibly across the week). The role is to handle a variety of maintenance tasks across the stadium, including external areas. This includes scheduled, reactive and preventative maintenance.

Candidates must have 5 years’ relevant experience and ideally should be a qualified plumber, electrician or joiner.
