Ticket Arrangements – South Shields away on Tuesday 27th OctoberFC United travel to South Shields FC in the Pitching In Northern Premier League on Tuesday 27th October with a 7:45pm kick-off – due to Covid-19 restrictions the ground will have a 300 capacity and this game is therefore strictly all ticket with no admission on the day without a valid pre-booked ticket.

South Shields FC
1st Cloud Arena
Shaftesbury Avenue, South Shields, NE32 3UP.

Tickets are priced as follows:
£10 Adults
£8 Concessions (over 65s) & Students
£3 Juniors (Under 16s)

Important Covid-19 information:
Manchester will be designated in tier 3 of the government’s Covid-19 classification with South Shields in tier 2. It is not unlawful to travel to South Shields to watch the match if you reside in a tier 3 area but it would be contravening guidelines.

The current government advice for those residing in a tier 3 area is: “People should try to avoid travelling outside the very high alert level area or entering the very high alert level area, other than for essential journeys or to travel through as part of a longer journey.”

The advice from Manchester FA (under whose jurisdiction we fall) for those residing in a tier 3 area is: “We ask that spectators follow the government guidance and do not travel into or out of ‘Very High’ Tier 3 areas.”

Advice from the board of FC United of Manchester:
The board has considered whether to accept an allocation in light of the advice. We have considered that advice is just that and that the government is not imposing this in law but advising/asking residents.

We also have a large number of supporters living outside of tier 3 areas for whom travelling to the game would not contravene any guidelines. We therefore ask supporters to take notice of the guidelines and do what they feel is right.

Ticket Sales:
We have been allocated 45 tickets, which is 15% of the 300 capacity South Shields are currently allowed. South Shields have provided us with an open online link which will allow for the sale of 45 tickets through their website.

Wherever possible, our policy is to provide priority for away games for members but this will not possible if we put the link out in public. There is also the fact that many South Shields supporters are currently unable to get tickets for their home games and it would be impossible to ensure our 45 tickets went to FC United supporters if the link was placed in public.

Therefore, it has been decided that the link to the ticket purchase page will be placed on the club’s members’ forum at 7pm tonight, Thursday 22nd October. We appreciate that won’t please everyone but it is the fairest way of ensuring tickets go to our members.

Members can access the forum here.

Thank you for your understanding.
