Select your Legends Squad from the first 15 years

15 years ago today, FC United came out to play for the first ever time: the Reds took on Leigh RMI in front of 2,552 supporters at Hilton Park on Saturday 16th July 2005.

We’ve seen some amazing players pull on our red shirt since that day but who are your favourites? Who would be the first name on your team sheet and who is your cult hero?

To celebrate the anniversary of our first ever match, you’re invited to pick your all-time XI and – because it’ll be a major selection headache to pick just 11 players – you’re also invited to select four substitutes.

So, pick your favourite 15 players from the first 15 years of your football club and the FC United Legends Squad as voted by the supporters will be revealed on the official website in August.

Please note: only outfield players who have made at least 40 appearances for the club are available for selection. It’s possible to select certain players twice in two different positions but that would be a really divvy thing to do, so don’t do that.
