FC United to host Kettering Town in First Round Proper of The Buildbase FA Trophy

FC United have been drawn at home to Kettering Town in First Round Proper of The Buildbase FA Trophy with the tie scheduled to take place on Saturday 14th December, subject to confirmation.

The Poppies currently lie third from bottom in the Vanarama National League North, one division above FC United.

They needed a replay to edge past Sutton Coldfield Town 2-1 in their opening fixture in this year’s tournament before comfortably beating Peterborough Sports 3-0 away in the third round qualifying on Saturday.

It will the first competitive meeting between the two clubs but we have met before when the Northamptonshire club hosted us for a pre-season friendly in July 2008. Kettering ran out 2-0 winners that day.
