Fantastic five for FC United in Warrington Friendly

FC United beat Warrington Town FC 5-1 at Cantilever Park, last night Tuesday 13th of February in a friendly match.

February the 6ths re-scheduled friendly against Warrington Town finally took place last night at Cantilever Park, Warrington. In what Margy described as "another good run out for the lads" FC United strolled to a comfortable 5-1 win against the struggling Unibond first division side, goals coming from Rory Patterson, Rob Nugent and a delightful hat-trick from Stuart Rudd,

Marginson was particularly impressed with youngster Jamie Rother who came on for 35 minutes during the second half and gave good account of himself in his first performance for the first team.

The Warrington Town game will be good warm up for this Saturdays NWCFL Challenge Cup Quarter final clash with mid table Silsden FC, with FC United "long over due some luck" according to Karl who is "taking every match as it comes".

This will be FC’s first visit to Cougar Park, in what is sure to be an exciting quarter final encounter.
