On joining FC United Ennis said “I’ve had a huge amount of experience of playing non-league football and am familiar with this level. It’s brilliant to join FC United. I spoke to the Gaffer for five minutes, and pretty much made my mind up. I’ve played against FC United five- or six-times including games at Broadhurst Park. It’s a brilliant atmosphere to play in front of. I know the background to the club and I know a number of players who have previously played here; and everyone speaks fondly of the club. Another important factor was that I know what a family friendly club it is. I want to get my two children and fiancée involved in the club. I’m really looking forward to it.”
