Match Preview: FC United Women vs Sir Tom Finney LadiesFC United Women return to Broadhurst Park on Sunday 28 April 2019 for the final home game of the 2018/19 season, with Sir Tom Finney Ladies the visitors to Moston.

The NWWRL Premier Division fixture is a 2pm kick-off and will see the Reds back inside the Broadhurst Park stadium, following games on the 3G against Wigan Athletic and Penrith AFC.

All supporters will be housed in the Main Stand for this fixture. Entry is priced at £3 for adults, £2 for concessions and £1 for under 16s.

United come into the game off the back of a 3-1 victory at Manchester Stingers WFC in midweek, that saw Luke Podmore’s side get back to winning ways after dropping points in the second game of last week’s double-header against Penrith AFC Ladies.

The Reds did win the opening game 6-1 in their last outing at Broadhurst Park but were held to a 1-1 draw in the second fixture of the afternoon, nearly a week ago.

In the last week, the Reds have moved up to 2nd place in the NWWRL Premier Division standings for the first time this season.

Tomorrow’s visitors, Sir Tom Finney Ladies, currently sit 9th with 14 points from 19 league games in 2018/19. STF will be hoping for a positive result in what will be their final game of the league campaign.

Sir Tom Finney’s last outing was in midweek when they were on the end of a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the league leaders, Stockport County Ladies.

FCUMW defender Emily Marsh signed in the summer from tomorrow’s visitors and has scored in both of her last two appearances for United – the most recent coming in March’s Argyle Cup quarter-final win against Penrith.

The reverse fixture earlier this season saw United run out comfortable 7-0 winners at UCLAN Sports Arena, with Aimee O’Keeffe finding the net five times.

The Reds will be hoping for a similar outcome in tomorrow’s game – we hope to see you there!
