FC United announce The Energy Check as new main club sponsor

FC United are proud to announce The Energy Check as new main club sponsor on an initial two season deal Founded in 2014, The Energy Check are an energy consultancy covering both the commercial and domestic energy markets.


Earlier this year The Energy Check launched their domestic utility switching site.

FC United supporters will already be familiar with The Energy Check who at the start of this season took out a major advertising package along the North Stand at FC United’s Broadhurst Park.



Asked why they had now taken the step to increase their commitment to the club, The Energy Check CEO David Winton explained: "We were drawn to FC United as a club which is firmly rooted and committed to the community and with an engaged fan base. The club have a short but proud history which shows what a group of dedicated supporters can achieve; something which we as a company could relate to."

"Our initial focus was on reducing the club’s utility costs as part of an advertising package that saw us take out banners along the full length of the stand and offer our services to reduce bills for the club’s supporters and business partners with FC United receiving a commission for each new client."



David added, "We also enjoyed sponsoring and attending a couple of the club’s matches and recently held an office away day and our Christmas Party in the club’s terrific function room. Speaking to Damian and his team it became obvious that the club had struggled for several years now without a main club sponsor and we felt that the partnership had blossomed to the extent that we wanted to step up to that role."

"With a support base engaged enough to want to link up with the club’s partners, especially one which can save them money, I expect this to be a sponsorship which will prove really beneficial to all of us."

Damian Chadwick, CEO at FC United, wanted to thank David for his support, saying: "The Energy Check has filled a big vacuum taking on the role of Main Club Sponsor. Away from the advertising and sponsorship we have already received technical assistance from David’s team on energy saving measures to reduce our carbon footprint which we can incorporate in our planned SMRE Bar redevelopment and they are supporting our Christmas Day homeless initiative by buying toiletries, thermal clothing and sleeping bags."
