Two Moston United players progress to FCs first team squad.

We are delighted to welcome two new promising young players to FC United’s First Team - Tyrell Palmer (pictured left) and Jamal Crawford (right) - Both players joined Moston United in the summer and have both impressed to now becoming registered as part of FCs First Team squad.

Manchester-born Tyrell Palmer (20) previously played for Bolton Wanderers u/18s before joining Moston United. The attacking midfielder made his debut for the FC United first team on Tuesday night coming on as a second half substitute away at Salford City in the Manchester Premier Cup.

Jamal Crawford (19) also joined Moston United in the summer following a spell at Llandudno in the Welsh Premier League. As he played 8 times for the Welsh club, we are still awaiting ’international’ clearance before he can appear in the Red shirt for FC United.

Jamal (born in Manchester), who plays in midfield and on the wing, spent eight years at Burnley as a youth and scholar, together with FC’ striker Jason Gilchrist. Jamal left the Clarets at the end of the 2015/16 season and joined Llandudno in January 2017.

The progression of the two young talented players highlights the key role that the newly established Moston United can play in encouraging young local talent at FC United.

Moston United is an independent football club set up in partnership between Moston Juniors and FC United. It gives players of Moston Juniors and FCs Academy Teams a progression root to First Team football.

Moston United who have two teams; First XI and Reserves, currently has 40 players registered but with Jamal and Tyrell moving upwards, we are interested in speaking with any talented players aged 18+ with ambitions of playing in the National League North or higher.

So please contact Tom Conroy, FCs Sports Development Officer now at tom.conroy@fc-utd.net if you are interested in joining Moston United.
