FC United appoint Luke Podmore as Women's Team Manager

The club is pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Podmore as Manager of our Women’s Team.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Luke Podmore as Manager of our Women’s Team.

Luke, who was previously assistant manager of our Women’s Team in 2012, has more recently managed the Preston North End Women’s Team, where he guided the side to victory in the FA Women’s Premier League Plate in 2015.



On being appointed, Luke says:

"I feel privileged and very proud to have this opportunity. I know what FC United stands for as a club and also recognise the potential we can achieve in both league status and also within the local community. I’m just keen to get going and to meet with the squad on Wednesday."

The club would also like to place on record our thanks to head coach, Jay Astley who managed the side to five out of six victories since he stepped up to act as Interim Manager. Jay has decided to leave the club and does so with everyone’s best wishes.
