New FC United Board Announced

New FC United Board AnnouncedAt the FC United Extraordinary General Meeting held on Saturday 25 June 2016, FC United Members were invited to vote to appoint a new Board. Nineteen candidates stood for election to fill the eleven vacancies.

FC United is established on firm one member, one vote, democratic principles, and those principles are underlined by the opportunity to vote in General Meetings on the resolutions put to the membership and, in this case, in the Board election.

On the evening of Tuesday 28th June 2016, a team of nearly 40 volunteers, overseen by Michael Shepherd from Coops UK counted the votes cast in the Board election.

We are pleased to announce the following people have now been appointed to the FC United Board. The candidates are listed in order of votes received.

2. Sam Mullock
3. Adrian Seddon
4. Nathan Ellis-Scott
5. Jim Brunt
6. Peter Thwaites
7. Paul Butcher
8. Michelle Noonan
9. Lawrence Gill
10. Peter Cranmer
11. George Baker


The 6 candidates who received the most votes will serve on the Board until the November 2017 AGM. The candidates placed 7th to 11th will serve until the November 2016 Annual General Meeting.

The candidates who were unsuccessful were; Tom Stott, Roy Soule, Alison Watt, Jonathon Clegg, Randi Andersen, John Davies, Adam Wood and Steven Chadwick

We would like to thank all candidates who put their names forward, to the volunteers who gave of their time to help register members before the EGM and to those who helped count the votes.
