2016/17 FC United season tickets now on sale

2016/17 FC United season tickets now on saleWe are delighted to announce that FC United season tickets for the 2016/17 season are now on sale and are available to purchase online or by phone via the FC United office.

Following a successful first season in our new ground, we will once again be playing in the Vanarama National League North next season and look forward to building on our experience of playing at a higher level. The 2015/16 season saw the club achieve record crowds in our new ground, averaging over 3,300, which is a 50% increase on the previous season. The coming season, which starts on 6 August 2016, will be our second season at Broadhurst Park and the only way to guarantee a place for every match is to buy a season ticket.

In order to increase season ticket sales to cement the club’s financial stability and to maintain accessibility to FC United by keeping a good proportion of pay on the gate attendees, like last season we are limiting the number of season tickets sold to around 50% of our ground capacity. This means that we have 2,150 season tickets available to sell, so please order yours soon to avoid missing out.

All existing season ticket holders will be guaranteed a ticket for the 2016/17 season provided that they renew or take out an instalment plan by 30 June 2016.

Season ticket prices

In the absence of a vote by members at our adjourned general meeting, the FC United board has agreed to sell tickets on the same basis as last season. The board has taken the decision that the sale of season tickets for next season can proceed prior to the reconvened members’ general meeting on 15 May 2016. The board appreciates that this is the subject of a Members’ Vote which provides guidance to the board and will reconsider the situation if necessary after the meeting.

This means that once again this year, we will be setting the minimum price of an adult season ticket at a very affordable £100. However, in order to meet our financial targets, we would greatly appreciate it if supporters, who can afford it, add a donation to the minimum season ticket price.

We are suggesting an average donation of £60, on top of the £100 ticket price so that we raise at least £160 from each ticket sold. This is equivalent to an entry price of less than £8 per match, because there will be 21 home league matches in the Vanarama National League North next season. Supporters who are able to pay more than £160 are encouraged to do so as every extra pound we raise is invested in the club and helps us to plan financially for the season ahead.

Concession season tickets for over 60s/the unwaged will effectively be the same as the minimum price for all adults. Those supporters in this category are invited to make a donation, if affordable, along with all other adults. Under-18 season tickets will remain at £21.

Season ticket sales are very important to FC United as they help us better plan our finances for the coming year. The donations we receive on top of the season ticket price are also crucial in enabling us to meet our financial targets. This is even more important as we prepare for our second season in our new home at Broadhurst Park and develop further our community facility.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
