Chorley game fundraising totals

Chorley game fundraising totalsThere were 1,275 Pound for the Ground tickets sold at the Chorley FC game on Saturday 26 March, the third best total for a league game this season. This left £1,025 for the Development Fund after deducting the usual £250 prize money.

The winner was Ivo from Holland, who was over visiting us for the game. Also, both the second and third prizes were claimed on the day, so it’s just the breakfast awaiting a claimant.

The winning ticket numbers were as follows: -

1st prize of £200 – 0008 (claimed)
2nd prize of £50 - 0267 (claimed)
3rd prize of a fudge hamper - 0248 (claimed)
4th prize of breakfast for two - 1284

If you were at the game you probably watched Tobias from FC Falke in Germany propose to his fiancée Nadine during the half time draw. Nadine hadn’t a clue what Tobias was up to, and despite the good humoured chant from the stands of "you don’t know what you’re doing", she willingly accepted.

Here is a copy of Tobias’s proposal:-

“My Nadine, I Love everything about you. I love the FCUM family, our families, Hamburg and Falke. But you are the most important thing for me in my life, so I will ask you here and now... Will you marry me and do you want to be by my side for ever????

It’s enough to bring tears to a glass eye! Both Tobias and Nadine were at the Curzon game last Monday and couldn’t thank the club enough for the experience.

The soaking wet barrels were emptied after the game and after all the monies were thoroughly dried out, the count amounted to £147 plus a cornucopia of foreign stuff.

All in all we raised £1,172 from ticket sales and the barrels at the AFC Fylde match. This brings our running total from matches for the season to £25,361 raised for the Development Fund.

We now have just three home games left to bring along your loose change and any foreign notes or coins that you have lying around your fixed abode.

Thanks to all who contributed last Saturday and a special mention to John the announcer for all his work during halftime out on the pitch.

Our next home game is this coming Saturday against Boston United.
