FC to feature on new Channel 4 series, The Food ChainFC United is to feature on a new prime-time documentary series, The Food Chain, which starts this evening on Channel 4. The series celebrates quality UK produce told through the voices of the people feeding the nation. Each programme will focus on two ingredients, starting at the source with the farmers or fishermen, following them around the country to discover the vast array of ways in which they are used, and some of the amazing and unexpected places they end up.

One of the farmers featured in the series grows peas that end up in the veggie hot dogs sold by Fat Annie’s at FC United. A TV crew visited Broadhurst Park in September last year and filmed some hot dogs being made and sold on a match day.

The film crew spent around two hours filming at the ground and filmed James from Fat Annie’s setting up his stand and selling food inside the ground (see photo above) and they also filmed some general shots of people arriving for the game and a couple of shots of the match.

The results will be seen in episode four of The Food Chain, "Lamb and Peas", that goes out on 18 April on Channel Four. Meanwhile, episode one starts tonight, 21 March, at 8.30pm.
