Update on Lowestoft Town player injured in Saturday’s match at Broadhurst ParkDuring Saturday’s match against Lowestoft Town, there was an injury to Lowestoft midfielder Andy Fisk, who left the field after four minutes with an eye injury which caused him difficulty focusing. Andy was seen at the ground by Dr Kay Phillips, an FC United member who is also a GP, and she recommended that he went to the emergency eye hospital at the Manchester Royal Infirmary to get checked out as a precaution and to rule out any serious damage. He was accompanied by Lowestoft director Alan Green.

After receiving treatment, he left the hospital at 11pm having being diagnosed with bad bruising of the eye. He spent the night in a hotel in Manchester and was driven home the next day by Alan Green. Andy is expected to make a full recovery.

FC United wishes Andy luck with his recovery and it is a great relief to hear that there is no serious damage. Lowestoft Town wanted to say thank you to everyone at FC United for the treatment Andy received and the care shown to him. We in turn wish them all the best for the remainder of the season.
