Matthew Walwyn receives second St. Kitts and Nevis international call-up

FC United forward Matthew Walwyn has received another international called up to represent the St. Kitts and Nevis national team, this time for their two friendly matches against Andorra and Estonia.

This is the second time that Matthew has been named in the St. Kitts- and Nevis squad, after being called up for their World Cup qualifiers against El Salvador in June earlier this year.

Matthew will join the St. Kitts and Nevis squad from 9th to 19th November for the matches, which are in Andorra and Estonia, and he will return back to FC United following the games.

Commenting on his latest call-up, Matthew said: “It’s really good news and I’m well pleased. When I was with the squad in the summer they said there was going to be some upcoming friendlies and they wanted to keep the squad together and it will be great to visit Andorra and Estonia.

"Hopefully, I can make an appearance in the team and make my debut for St. Kitts- and Nevis. The call-up has come at a good time for me as I’m getting back to full fitness and I’ll be training hard with FC before the squad leaves to give myself every chance of making one of the starting line-ups in November.”

Everyone at FC United wishes Matt the very best of luck for the two matches and we look forward to hearing about his trip when he returns back to the UK.
