Match day volunteer help needed at Broadhurst Park

As the opening of Broadhurst Park nears and we get ever closer to running our own ground, we now need more people to help deliver our match day operations to make it the best we can for everyone who visits the new facility.

We’re looking for a number of key volunteers to assist our already committed and dedicated match day catering team in manning catering outlets and service points throughout the ground. We’re looking for people with catering service experience (food safety and hygiene certificates preferable) and also staffing for our bars. We already have some volunteers who have come forward that want to be involved, so if you’d like to be considered we’ll be holding a couple of informal meetings at Broadhurst Park on the following dates:

Tuesday 5 May at 1pm
Wednesday 6 May at 5.45pm

If you’d like to come and have a chat to see how you could help either before, during or after matches and also at events at the ground please get in touch with Tony Riley, FC United bars manager on 0161 688 1180 between 10am and 3pm. Pre-booking is essential at the above events for us to manage numbers and safety issues at the ground. Unfortunately we cannot accept anyone who turns up on the day. Please note that our aim is to recruit as many volunteers as possible (to keep our costs low) with potentially some paid roles, subject to the right experience and skills required.

In addition we are also looking for a number of other volunteer roles at Broadhurst Park. We require eight traffic marshals to assist with managing and directing car parking around the ground. Marshals will finish their work 15 minutes before kick-off so they will not miss any of the match. We also need to recruit another six Pound for the Ground ticket volunteers to join our successful tem of sellers at the new ground. If anyone wants to volunteer for any other match day operations teams, such as programme selling, then they are more than welcome to do so.

To put your name forward for the traffic marshal, Pound for the Ground seller or other volunteer roles then please contact FC United board member Des Lynch at deslynch@fc-utd.co.uk
