After the Chorley match on Tuesday night, the Development Fund barrels were emptied and the total collected was £173 whilst £460 was also raised for club funds from half-time draw ticket sales.
The largest contribution to the barrels was £77 from our catering volunteers. They put free tea and coffee out in the bar/club room and left a jar out for donations. Good thinking and a tremendous gesture from all who contributed. The barrels also contained around 15 euros and a good helping of foreign coinage. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
The Half-time draw ticket sales brought in £660, so with £200 to the winner that means £460 was raised for club funds. The proceeds of the half-time draw at cup matches go to club funds rather than the Development Fund. The winning ticket number was 2357 and was claimed. The winner plans to top up their community shares using the winnings. So thanks for that!
Therefore, our running total for the Development Fund at home games so far this season now stands at £7,733.
The barrels will be making the trip across town to Stalyvegas on Sunday so please have a root around at home for any old foreign currency and be sure to bring it along.
