Support for FC United grows

Support for FC United growsSeason tickets, co-ownership and club merchandise sales are all up on last season underlining that the club is headed in the right direction and attracting support on all fronts.

Season ticket update
We’ve now sold 1,427 season tickets for 2014-15. That represents a 20% increase on this time last year. We have over 25% of our new season ticket holders in the M40 area and tickets are still available for those who haven’t managed to renew, or would like one for the first time. With 18 home matches to go and a minimum price set at just £100, even though the season has already started, season tickets remain incredible value for money. Our pioneering value for money offer relies on cash donations from those who can afford to pay more on top of the minimum price and illustrates the club’s collective approach.

Our next home league game at Bowerfold, Stalybridge is on 4 October, when we play Whitby Town. Why not come and join us as a season ticket holder?

How to buy…
Call the office weekdays on 0161 273 8950 to order and pay over the phone – Collection can be made at the match or posted to you first class.

Or buy online by visiting our online shop here
You can of course pay cash at the game and use your new season ticket for admission on the day.

Just look at the view below we’ll have at Broadhurst Park.

We’d be delighted if you’d join us as a season ticket holder for the 2014-15 campaign and beyond.

Co-ownership (i.e. Membership) 2014-15
We have seen a sharp rise in the number of fans wanting to own their own football club. We already have over 3,000 members signed up which is more than at the same point in 2013. With a couple of hundred members yet to renew from last year, we believe a total of 3,500 members by the end of the season is possible.

The membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June and as a co-owner you get the right to vote on club decisions (like the shirt design), and importantly who is elected on our board.

Membership remains at £12/year for adults and just £3/year for juniors and is now payable by direct debit. For ADULTS click here. For JUNIORS click here. You need to be a fully paid-up member to attend the club’s annual general meeting on 26 November. So if you’ve not renewed your membership by 31st October 2014, you won’t be able to vote on the proposals at the meeting.

Merchandise
Matchday sales of merchandise at Stalybridge have been encouraging so far, thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers. Since moving over to the new online shop, sales online have also been improving. Our merchandise sales took a bit of a dip last year; the introduction of the new online shop and changes to our purchasing processes has turned the situation around. The improvements in our stock control are enabling us to reinvest more back into the club at what is a crucial time. The online shop still needs some work, but the first stage has reaped positive results.

The next stage is to improve the log-in process and we have some further improvements in the pipeline. We are always looking to improve the way in which we operate and we are currently working on a new range for the Broadhurst Park opening. We will also be producing some new items for our tenth anniversary too.

We’d like to thank our fans and volunteers for supporting the club and making it what it is. A huge amount of work goes into running the club. We don’t always get everything right, but the growth we have seen as we stand on the threshold of our new ground, is greatly encouraging and bodes well for the future of FC United of Manchester and supporter ownership in football more widely.
