Women's team in third cup semi-final this Sunday

FC United’s women’s team turn out in their third cup semi-final this Sunday, hoping to make it to their second final of the season after the disappointment of defeat in the Challenge Cup semi and the County Cup final.

Lee Sutton’s team take on Beechfield United Ladies FC in the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League Cup, with both semi-finals being played simultaneously on adjacent pitches at a neutral venue. Last year, the team were narrowly beaten by Manchester City Ladies in the League Cup final, so hope to go one better this time round. A win would see the women through to the final next Sunday 4 May at Salford City FC’s Moor Lane ground, setting up a potential double-header weekend for FC’s first teams.
