Travel

Coach:

We are now taking bookings for a second supporters coach. However if there is not sufficient demand the second coach will have to be cancelled.

The supporters coach to Whitby will leave Chorlton Street at 10am.

The cost will be £16 for adults and £8 for juniors under 16.

By Car:

From the West - From the A1 in North Yorkshire, follow the A64 towards Scarborough. After passing York and going along single carriage way road, getting stuck behind caravans and tractors, you will come to a place called Malton. This has a bypass which is dualled. follow the dualcarriage way until you come to the A169 turn off (the first exit on this dual carriage way). Take this road past and through Pickering until eventually you come to (after 20 miles of moorland) the village of Sleights at the bottom of a rather steep hill called Blue Bank. Go through Sleights up a git massive hill to a new roundabout that meets the A171. Turn right and then first left to Whitby (signposted B1460

Whitby/Sandsend/Saltburn). Follow this road until you come to a Spar shop / filling station on your left and a Lidl supermarket on your right hand side. Take the next left where the small war memorial is opposite Lidl onto Love Lane, (signposted Sandsend). Follow this road to a mini roundabout with the A174. Turn right, and follow this road for about 3/4 mile and the ground is on your left after the shops.

From the North - Find the A171 from Middlesbrough and take it all the way to the new roundabout with the A169 Pickering road. Go over this roundabout and take the next left.Follow this road until you come to a Spar shop / filling station on your left and a Lidl supermarket on your right hand side. Take the next left where the small war memorial is opposite Lidl onto Love Lane, (signposted Sandsend). Follow this road to a mini roundabout with the A174. Turn right, and follow this road for about 3/4 mile and the ground is on your left after the shops.

From the South - If you are unfortunate enough to have to come from Scarborough, then take the A171 towards Whitby. follow this road to Whitby and eventually you’ll go over a high level bridge. past the bridge , and go thru the traffic lights and down a hill. at the bottom of the hill turn left up another hill (Chubb hill) at the roundabout at the top take the second exit and follow this road for about 1 mile or so and the ground is on the right.

By Train:

Takes approximately 4 hours 10 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly (change at Middlesbrough), followed by a 15 minute walk. Alternatively (saves 30 minutes) Piccadilly to Malton takes 1 hour 50 minutes from there catch the number 840 Coastliner 1 hour 20 minutes to Whitby
