FC Women's keeper hospitalised

FC women’s team goalkeeper Mary Priestner was involved in a car accident on Thursday evening in Salford, together with members of her family.

As well as suffering a wound to her head, she in undergoing further assessment of possible injuries in hospital.

The pregnant woman mentioned in the Manchester Evening News report here is Mary’s sister and we are pleased to report that baby Benjamin was born safe and well yesterday.

We wish Mary and her family a speedy recovery and hope to see her back between the sticks very soon.
