Street Soccer Academy

FC United are proud to announce the opening of a new Regional Centre for the Street Soccer Academy to be operated by FC United community coaches and volunteers.

Each Regional Centre offers a professional football environment for vulnerable and ‘at-risk’ men to access high level coaching and wrap around support.

Sessions will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm every Monday at Abraham Moss High School.

Sessions will be led by Karl Marginson, FC United’s first team manager and the Regional Centre will be managed by Adam Jones, first team player and full time coach educator with FC United’s community team. They will be supported initially by four FC United volunteers.

The new Regional Centre is the latest development in a developing relationship between the Street Soccer Academy charity and the club. FC United coaches have assisted at sessions at other regional centres and academy participants have been invited to FC United games. A few months ago FCUM Radio reported from a Street Soccer Academy tournament and set a new world record for the longest ever football commentary.

If you would like to get involved in this project as a volunteer, please contact Adam Jones on 07557 407 121 or email him on adamjones@fc-utd.co.uk.

If you would like to refer somebody onto the project as a participant, please use the Street Soccer online referral form which you will find here.
