FC United launches latest Community Report

FC United of Manchester has launched its 2012 Community Report and it’s packed with news and information about the fantastic community work and outreach projects in which the club has been involved over the past 12 months.

Since its formation in 2005, FC United has been a community club owned and run by committed and dedicated fans who believe in a better way for football. That commitment has built a sustainable, successful, fan-owned, democratic football club that has created real and lasting benefits for supporters and local communities.

Since 2005, we have established more than 100 community-based projects and our Community Report 2012 tells the stories of our most recent work. The report highlights our work across a wide range of community areas including primary school children, teenagers, vulnerable young adults, work on community cohesion, with older people and ongoing work alongside our community partners.

All of this work has been achieved thanks to the support of our partners Manchester City Council, The Manchester College, Children in Need and Sport England. We are grateful to all of these organisations and especially to mxData for their unstinting support as our Key Community Partner.

You can download the Community Report here. Please feel free to forward it to others who might be interested in what FC United is doing. This type of work is central to the ethos of the club and we are looking forward to delivering more projects as we develop our community programmes in the future. Our Community Shares Scheme is also an important part of enabling the club to deliver community benefit and we would urge those who have yet to take part in the scheme to consider doing so by visiting our Community Shares website here.
