Hednesford 2-1 FC United It was third time unlucky for FC United on Saturday afternoon as the Reds lost the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off final 2-1 away to Hednesford Town in a closely fought match
United found themselves 2-0 down after a disappointing first half, and despite a good second half fight back the Reds couldn’t find a way through and suffered defeat at the final hurdle for the third season running. FC United Women 0-1 Mcr City FC United’s women’s team lost the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League Cup Final by the narrowest of margins to a 46th minute strike from Manchester City’s Ellen Bergin to bring the curtain down on a fantastic first season despite the result. New season membership passes 1,000 mark and members' draw
As the membership year for 2011-2012 expired on 30th June the number of members who have already renewed for the coming year, or have joined for the first time, reached 1000. Currently, the 2012-2013 memberships stand at 1028 Adults and 117 Juniors. The end of year 2011-2012 membership draw from the 2838 Adult members was won by Michael Begley. He will be able to travel on the team coach to an away League match of his choice.
