Hednesford 2-1 FC United It was third time unlucky for FC United on Saturday afternoon as the Reds lost the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off final 2-1 away to Hednesford Town in a closely fought match
United found themselves 2-0 down after a disappointing first half, and despite a good second half fight back the Reds couldn’t find a way through and suffered defeat at the final hurdle for the third season running. FC United Women 0-1 Mcr City FC United’s women’s team lost the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League Cup Final by the narrowest of margins to a 46th minute strike from Manchester City’s Ellen Bergin to bring the curtain down on a fantastic first season despite the result. Margy and coaching staff to attend Prestwich Carnival
Karl Marginson, Daz Lyons, and Dave and Richard Brown of the U18s coaching team will be swapping tracksuits for playing kit this Sunday,17 June, when they turn out at Prestwich Carnival. The kick off is at 3pm and there will be plenty of other activities for all the family, including a fun fair. You can view a full programme of activies at the Prestwich Carnival website.
