The FC United Community Team are pleased to announce that we are running our highly successful summer youth project this year, this time in an expanded format.
The project is for young people aged 16-19 and is especially aimed at school leavers.
We are offering young people;
A two week Sports Leaders course where the young people will receive accredited qualification as sports coaches
An opportunity to be employed as a part-time sports coach working on play schemes – we have many vacancies for people who have completed our training
Regular football training sessions with FC United coaches at the Manchester College Nicholls Street Campus in Ardwick
An FA Level 1 coaching course (lasts one week)
Because of the funding we have received the project is only open to young people living in the following areas;
Miles Platting
Newton Heath
Moston
New Moston
Harpurhey
Charlestown
Blackley
Moss Side
Hulme
Young people need to be able to turn up to a session every working day in July and August (unless they have pre-booked family holiydays).
