Hednesford 2-1 FC United It was third time unlucky for FC United on Saturday afternoon as the Reds lost the Evo-Stik Premier Division play-off final 2-1 away to Hednesford Town in a closely fought match
United found themselves 2-0 down after a disappointing first half, and despite a good second half fight back the Reds couldn’t find a way through and suffered defeat at the final hurdle for the third season running. FC United Women 0-1 Mcr City FC United’s women’s team lost the Greater Manchester Women’s Football League Cup Final by the narrowest of margins to a 46th minute strike from Manchester City’s Ellen Bergin to bring the curtain down on a fantastic first season despite the result. FC United Wellbeing Project – Fishing Volunteer Wanted
As part of FC United’s Wellbeing Project we have had a request for someone to help a disabled gentleman from Moston who attends a day centre in Miles Platting. He would like to go fishing, has all the relevant equipment and is willing to join a club however he needs someone to support him whilst he goes out. We are looking for a volunteer who would be able to spare the time to help him with this and accompany him on trips out fishing each week. The club will arrange and pay for a CRB check to be carried out before starting and will also provide the necessary support throughout the volunteering role.
