Your official matchday programme contains a couple of interesting profiles on Wednesday.
Stand-in keeper Jon Worsnop recently joined the club to prevent Ben Deegan being brought back to play in goal should James Spencer get suspended. He has enjoyed an interesting and varied career, Worsnop that is, which has even seen him playing alongside Gazza among others.
Helen Walker is our first team nutritionist. She reveals how FC are quite unique in football at any level, simply by having a nutritionist. Many Premier League clubs still don’t. Poor Helen lost sleep when United and Arsenal had that infamous tunnel brawl a few years ago. "Why were they eating pizza?" she screamed as the news reports of the food fight came on the wireless.
Furthermore, there is a story about FC United’s social media following and a report on our community work in a prison. Roy Soule went in to sort them all out, by all accounts. We also have another of Steve Woods’ archive pieces, with Matt Wilkinson’s pictures, from September 2005.
There are the usual away team, news and match reports section as well as another member in
Meet the Owners.
All for just £2.
