Message from St Helens

St Helens Town’s Matchday Secretary Jeff Voller has been in touch with the club to clear up a rumour about next Saturday’s game and to offer some more travel advice.

He said: “There appears to be some confusion surrounding the admission prices for our game next Saturday there have been some posts on our message board that some FC United fans think we are charging the away fans more than the home fans.

“This is not the case the admission prices for the game are £8 Adults and £4 children, for both home and away fans.”

He also gave the following advice about the quickest and easiest way of getting to the ground on public transport. He said: ”If you get the train to St Helens Junction there is a bus that will take you directly to Knowsley Road.

“Service no 35 runs from the station every 20 minutes at 18, 38 & 58 past the hour. I would suggest that this is the best route rather than wasting 15 minutes going through St Helens Junction to Huyton and then another 15 minutes getting back to St Helens!”

It just goes to show; you can’t always believe what you read in Internet forums.
