IVB New Year Knees Up

The Irwell Valley Branch are hosting their first New Year knees up at Bury FC Social Club on Friday 27th January from 8PM... and you’re all invited.

FEATURING A LIVE BAND THE BONESHAKERS + DJ PACE

The Boneshakers’ set consists of early 60s R’n’B tunes by Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, Dr. Feelgood, etc. - some of which you may recognise and some perhaps not.

The band consists of :

• Mike "I’ve only a few tickets left" Platt on vocals


• Terry Walsh, lead guitar/vocals


• Brian Croisdale(roundhouse and the beethovens), bass/vocals


• Dave "Animal" Almond (Beethovens), drums


• Liz Nightingale (too many bands to mention), sax/flute

The band got rave reviews last summer at the BEATHERDER FESTIVAL in Yorkshire and also at the BLACKBURN AND DARWEN RnB FESTIVAL.

DJ Pace will be on the decks giving us his usual quirky set of music to suit all tastes. He has also promised us a vocal solo or two.

Full buffet supper inclusive and everyone who attended the RACE NIGHT will testify that it will be a wondrous feast.
