Moston Planning Application Listed

The council yesterday confirmed that the application to build a football ground and sports facility on Ronald Johnson Playing Fields in Moston will be considered at the Planning Committee next Thursday 27th October.

We have consulted widely with residents and interest groups and responded to the questions that have been submitted to us. The planning officer has recommended that the application is approved, the full report can be downloaded from the council website:

The support for the proposal in Moston is steadily growing and whilst there is undeniably some local opposition the planning department has received thousands of letters of support from local residents looking forward to the development and what it could bring to the area. Even if we do get a positive outcome next week there is a long way still to go but this is a major step in the right direction.
