A grand day out

In June we had our first £1,000 winner of the treasureline, Dave Keelan, and now we can happily report that he’s been joined by another FC United fan.

Not only that but the lucky winner has an M40 postcode!

Life long red, Ian Ferguson became FC United’s second jackpot winner last week and has already earmarked some of the winnings to buy himself a season ticket.

Ian is usually accompanied to the games by his family and they’re also going to be getting a share of his winnings.

Like Dave, Ian has chosen David Chadwick as his favourite player but he can no longer sing his preferred FC song as the player in question now plies his trade on the Welsh border.

Ian’s favourite Manchester United player is the legend Eric Cantona and when not watching football, Ian enjoys reading about the African wilderness with a good Wilbur Smith book - whilst listening to George Michael.

Ian’s been following FCs exploits since our inception and his first match was the January 2006 2-1 win over Winsford in front of, what was then, a record 4,328 crowd. The match was also our first Big Coat Day, when we collected hundreds of winter coats for the local homeless folk.

So, as Ian has lots of fun spending his grand, let’s hope that before long we can report on another winner and give you a little insight into their life.
