Revamped match day programme gets fans' seal of approval

Regular readers of the FC United match day programme will have noticed some changes to the format this season.

The team behind the publication have given it a design revamp and introduced some new ideas, with much of the new ideas coming as a result of suggestions from fans.

There is always room for improvement and more contributions and ideas are always welcomed.

The changes have sparked effusive praise from some fans, including founder member and season ticket holder Kenny Gregory, also an avid programme collector.

Kenny told us: "I think the new-look programme is superb - a great read and well worth the £2 cost.

"The changes made are very impressive and adds even more quality to the programme. It’s always been professional looking and now there’s more to read in it.

"I really do look forward to buying it and reading it at every match. It must be one of the best programmes in the league and I’ve not heard one negative comment about it - it deserves to win an award.

"I just felt compelled to get in touch and say a big ’thank you and well done’ to all those who write for, edit, and sell the programme. It really is a good publication and we’re lucky to have it at FC United."

Buying a programme not only gives you something to read at halftime or on the way home - the cover price also helps raise valuable funds for our club so please consider giving it a try on Saturday, even if you don’t usually buy one.

The programme is on sale from volunteers around Gigg Lane and if you have any ideas or suggestions for the programme, please email programme@fc-utd.uk.

One day like this: FC United programme

To mark north Manchester day we have a couple of articles within the pages of Saturday’s programme focusing on the area and its history.

The club secretary talks about what a community stadium in Moston would mean to those from her neighbourhood and one of our members has written a piece about the team he believes was the last semi-professional side to play in north Manchester.

It is also, of course, Non-League Day, so we’ve got a nice piece from Andy Walker, who spoke to the organisers and someone who is coming to an FC game for the first time.

We have a player profile, this time on keeper James Spencer, match reports and the latest Meet the Owners with one of the club’s members.

We’ve got some cracking pictures too, from our plethora of quality photographers.

At £2 (that’s an increase of 0 per cent in the six years since we started the club) you can do much worse. All proceeds go towards your football club.
