Dust off those cobwebs...

This week’s FCUM Radio news

And this week dear listener we have an action packed week for you all to enjoy here with FCUM Radio. Yes, basically what we’re telling you to do this week is to dust off those Summer cobwebs because FCUM Radio is going up a notch this week. We have a brand new show brought to you by a Manchester institution and we have the return of FC Live.

Let’s start with the brand new show; Manchester’s Cornerhouse has long been the regions centre for the visual arts and independent film. FCUM Radio is delighted to announce that from Friday 15th July, we will be broadcasting The Cornerhouse Podcast everyday of the working week at 15.30. Hosted by Programme and Engagement Director Sarah Perks, the Cornerhouse Podcast takes you through all the latest films and is filled with interesting interviews and discussion. So make sure you tune in this Friday.

Also this weekend, FC Live makes its long awaited return this Saturday as we bring you coverage of FC United v Chester FC in the Supporters Direct Cup live from the Deva Stadium. We’ll be on air from 2pm so if you’re unable to attend, why not spend this Saturday afternoon reminding yourself what not going round Ikea sounds like.
In other news, a big congratulations to Gaz Marshall and all the lads at The Sports Review Show who passed with flying colours their Sports Journalism Degrees at Huddersfield University this past month. This does unfortunately mean that the current crop of presenters of The Sports Review Show have now left Uni and have entered the jobs market, so unfortunately they will no longer be presenting the show, however, plans are a foot to have a whole new collection of presenters from Huddersfield University making their debuts during the coming season here on FCUM Radio, so that’s something to look forward to. But on behalf of everyone here at FCUM Radio, a big thanks to Gaz Marshall and all his mates for hosting the show this past year and good luck for the future.

And one more thing, the FCUM Radio Gig Guide has a new host, yes those of you fed up with the tiereny of Marv Willers in the mornings can now look forward to the warm sounds of Neil Boothman instead, who will be presenting the show Monday to Friday at 11.30am from now on. And in case you were wondering, Marv Willers has been redeployed. And while I’m talking about presenters, you are just an email away from anyone here at FCUM Radio, so why not request a song. All of our DJs can be contacted via email and love reading what you have to say. So help yourselves, http://www.fcumradio.co.uk/djsshows/the-voices/
