Who loves the sun?

This Week’s News

Despite it now being officially summer, here at FCUM Radio we remain in chipper mood despite the lack of football. Sure, we miss that regular Saturday routine, but maybe a few months without worrying about the signal strength of some far off distant football ground in the hills will do us some good.

We also happen to know that here at your station; we have been infiltrated by some eccentric folk who actually like the summer for its sporting offering. Indeed as I write this I know full well that Swampy and Pace are limbering up in the dungeon in their white vests and shorts for Wimbledon, whilst Stevie D and Doh are planning to jog 58 miles in t’hills or something whilst t’sun is out. And to top it all, Steve Wood and James Quinn turned up this morning wearing cricket jumpers over their shoulders, seriously! They’re currently with HR anyway.
Basically dear listener, enough is enough, we need football and we need it quickly. With this in mind, unlike in previous years, we’re looking to bring you some FC Live pre season friendlies this summer, where we’ll be answering some of those preseason questions for you like……Who’s he? ‘ow much??? And why did you not bring any suntan lotion Brian?

And finally but not leastly for this week’s news, music. Yes its all too easy to forget FCUM Radio while you’re out busy with your water bombs and super soakers, but please do tune in through the month of June. Our DJs are creating some world class radio week in week out and would really love it if you could lend them your ears through the month. And while I’m at it, you are just an email away from anyone here at FCUM Radio, so why not request a song. All of our DJs can be contacted via email and love reading what you have to say. So help yourselves, http://www.fcumradio.co.uk/djsshows/the-voices/

And one more thing,

Highlights of this week include:

* FC LIVE Replay! – A re-run of a classic match from a memorable season (Wed 7pm & Sat 3pm)
* FCUM Radio Showcase (Mon-Fri 12.30 & 21.00) a celebration of all that we do here at the station from football commentary, great music shows, insightful interviews to the odd bit of comedy gold.
* Join The FC Uth for Children Of The Revolution, for a unique glimpse into the lives of FC United’s junior contingent from volunteering to their music taste (Sat 12pm, repeated Sun 10am)
* FC Soul Night on Thursday from 7pm, for a whole evening of Soul, RnB, Hip Hop, Funk and Motown.
