The Poets of the Apocalypse Return

Regular FC United wordsmiths, John Darwin, Mike Duff and James Quinn amongst others are lined up to perform at the Prestwich Festival on Friday 3rd June. The event is to raise money for our new ground and is being held at Heaton Park Social Club on Bury Old Rd, Prestwich (five minutes walk from Heaton Park metrolink) kicking off at 7-30pm. It’s being organised by John Darwin and Prestwich Labour Councillor Alan Quinn. The entry price is £3 and all profits go to FC United as our hosts for the night Barry and Lisa have given us the room for free. If you have any queries contact Alan Quinn on 798-8209. Those wishing to make a night of it can partake in the local pubs and curry houses including the award winning Lime Tree and Prachee close to Heaton Park metrolink. (this event may contain adult humour)

A MaD Evening

Another date for your diary for the Prestwich Festival is Thursday June 16th when our friends from Moston Active Drama perform the world premiere of "Bunny Lamar Presents..."

Any profits will go to FC United’s development fund and the entry fees are adults £4 and concessions £2. The play kicks off at 7-30pm at the Paragon Theatre which is situated in Prestwich Arts College on Heys Road, Prestwich (5mins walk from Prestwich metrolink). The event has been organised by MaD’s Rob Lees and Gill Hughes with local Labour councillor and FC regular Alan Quinn. If you have any queries contact Alan on 798-8209.

The play is set in Bury where Dorian’s pushy mum forces him to attend Bunny Lamar’s snotty drama school while she has a fling with randy Reg, the dodgy driving instructor from Ramsbottom and.................well that would spoil the play so come along! (This play does contain adult humour).
