Under-18s go free as FC United entertain Kendal

People under the age of 18 get free entry into Gigg Lane this Easter Monday as FC United look to guarantee second place and home advantage in Thursday’s play-off semi-final by beating Kendal Town.

Anything less could potentially see the Reds slip into fourth place if Colwyn Bay beat Nantwich Town at home and Bradford overcome Mickleover Sports away. Meanwhile, if North Ferriby, who travel to Frickley, match whatever Buxton achieve at home to Matlock, it will be the Villagers who claim the fourth and final play-off spot.

With just one defeat in the last 19 matches, FC United will be confident of ending the season on a high. Grant Shenton is expected to relieve striker Ben Deegan of his goalkeeping duties whilst Sam Ashton serves the second match of his three game ban.

Captain Mike Norton and Jerome Wright are both available for Monday and Thursday’s matches before they must also serve suspensions.

FC United versus Kendal Town is Easter Monday with kick-off at three O’clock. Get yourself to that football ground.
