FA Cup second round - Important ticket information

Brighton & Hove Albion v FC United

The Seagulls beat Woking on penalties in the FA Cup sponsored by E.ON first round proper replay which finished 2-2 after extra time.

Ticket Information

Last week we contacted all members and season ticket holders in an attempt to gauge interest of those who would be interested in attending the FA Cup 2nd Round Proper tie against Brighton. We have received just over 900 responses.

We will not know our full allocation until the replay between Brighton and Woking to be played on Tuesday 16th November, however we felt it important to inform supporters of the selling arrangements as soon as they were agreed by the Board.

Due to the limited number of tickets that will be available we have had to set strict criteria to ensure as fair a system as possible of allocating these tickets. We recognise that these criteria will exclude a number of our supporters and that some will be disappointed as a result, but as demand will likely exceed supply we have to recognise that whatever system we put in place, some supporters would miss out.

We hope however that the system we have put in place recognises and rewards the loyalty that season ticket holders and members demonstrated when committing for the season and by becoming co-owners.

We have therefore put in place for our home game on Saturday 20th November, two distinct ‘tiers’ of selling arrangements. First priority will be given to those supporters who are BOTH season ticket holders AND members. There will then follow a selling period for season ticket holders OR members who registered before 5pm on the 4th October 2010, the cut off date for the AGM.

Selling arrangements

We have a limited time to sell the tickets and can only take payment by cash only.

The ticket office at Gigg Lane will be open before the FA Trophy home game against Hinckley United on 20th November from the following times:

• 11am – 12:30pm for season ticket holders who ALSO hold a membership that was purchased before 5pm on the 4th October 2010.

• 12:30pm – 3pm (and if necessary following full-time of the match) for members OR season ticket holders purchased before 5pm on the 4th October 2010.

If any tickets remain after this time, the ticket office will also be open on Sunday 21st November from 12 noon until 2pm for members OR season ticket holders purchased before the 4th October 2010.

Very important information

Please note tickets will only be sold to those who bring their membership card and season ticket book or those who can show photographic identification. Tickets will NOT be issued without these items and there will be no exceptions to this rule.

Similarly, supporters who wish to purchase for others must bring with them ALL the relevant documentation of that person with them.

Names for each purchase will be cross referenced on the database and marked off to avoid duplicate purchases. The database will indicate to ticket office staff which supporters are both season ticket holders and members and which supporters fall into only one of those categories. The list will be strictly adhered to.

We ask that supporters remain patient throughout the selling process and recognise that the volunteers who will be staffing the ticket office will be doing their very best to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible.
