FC United officials attended a meeting of the Mid Cheshire Football league last night, where a vote was taken amongst member clubs on acceptance of applicant teams for the league next season. 5 teams were up for election(Congleton Reserves, Fearnhead, FC United Reserves, Stalybridge Reserves and Tarporley Victoria) for 4 places in the Second Division.
The member clubs voted to accept Congleton Reserves, Fearnhead, Stalybridge Reserves and Tarporley Victoria; while we are naturally disappointed not to have been accepted, we will still run a reserve team next season and a decision will be taken in the next couple of days as to which league we will now apply to.
