From Rags to Riches

A fund raising idea that doesn’t require putting your hand in your pocket

Last winter FC United fans collected a magnificent 4 tons of coats, jumpers and warm winter cloths for homeless people. A collection for this worthy cause will be repeated next season. The question is how much more could we collect between us if the materials were of lesser quality.

Time for a spring clean.

You can now recycle your old cloths, curtains, towels and bedding for FC United. The chances are most of us have items stuck at the bottom of the wardrobe, draws, lobby stuff that you just haven’t got round to throwing out. Well here’s your chance. At our last home game of the season ’Youth United day’ on 24th April a van will be on hand to take away your old items for recycling to raise money for your club. The recycle centre cannot use sleeping bags, pillows or quilts. Other than that, "Get it bagged up" for FC

The collection times will be between 12 noon and 3pm and that the collection will take place outside Bury FC Social Club.

Old Mobile phones recycling

After the Rag and Bone it’s the dog and bone. In a second collection on ’Youth United Day’ you can also donate your old mobile phones for recycling. There will be collection points at the turnstiles and near the Membership Stall.
