Nicky Platt goes down under

Nicky Platt has decided to join Australian side Mandurah City Soccer Club and will be leaving FC United to go down under on July 9th.

Nicky has decided to take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity and will be joined in Oz by his girlfriend Lauren.

Nicky said: "We’re both young and don’t have any commitments such as kids, so we’ve decided to go for the experience. It’s a good chance to do a bit of travelling and see some of the world."

Mandurah are a professional club who compete in the Western Australia State Premier League. They currently lie fourth out of 12 after seven games and they are the same team Chris Baguley played for earlier in the year before he decided to come back to England.

Nicky explained that it might not be the last we see of him in an FC United shirt. He said: "We’re going to take things as they come and we don’t know how everything will go or how long we’ll be out there for. If we do come back, I’ll be straight on the phone to Margy."
