Warrender out but Reds ready for Ossett

FC United have been dealt a blow with the news that Danny Warrender will miss Wednesday’s visit of Ossett Town but the Reds have been boosted by Adam Carden, Jamie Baguley and Dave Neville being passed fit to play.

Carden, who was a substitute against Marine after recovering from a bruised foot sustained in the 2-2 draw at Hednesford, may fill in for Warrender, who twisted an ankle whilst running in Heaton Park.

Meanwhile, Baguley (thigh strain) and Neville (broken ankle) will both be hoping for at least a place on the bench after recovering from their injuries. They may be sat alongside club captain David Chadwick who is yet to get back into the first team after shaking off his thigh strain.

Carl Lomax will expect to start up front after scoring three goals in two games and former Manchester United player Phil Marsh will be hoping to open his account for the Reds in his fourth game since signing from Leigh Genesis.

FC United have won four and drawn one out of the last five whereas Ossett have been on a mixed run of two wins, two defeats and one draw. However, the Reds will have to be on their guard as the West Yorkshire outfit did thump promotion hopefuls Hednesford 3-0 away just three and a half weeks ago.
