Margy modifies midfield for Matlock

FC United look to get their promotion push back on track this Sunday at Matlock but they will have a unfamiliar midfield on display as manager Karl Marginson is without his usual pairing of Dave Neville and Simon Carden.

Neville is out with a broken ankle and Carden is suspended for one match after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season at Kendal two weeks ago. Right-back Danny Warrender, who has stepped into the midfield void before, is also banned for the trip to Derbyshire after being booked in the same game.

However, the good news is that Adam Carden returns from his suspension and Jerome Wright is still available despite being sent off against Buxton last Saturday.

Tunji Moses may well continue in the middle of the park but Jamie Baguley will be desperate to use the opportunity to get back in the team and show the sort of form he was displaying before getting a knee injury at Nantwich in September.

Senegalese powerhouse Papis Dieyte will also be hoping he can force his way back into Margy’s plans. Dieyte has struggled to get his name on the team sheet since December’s 4-2 defeat at Eastwood Town but he remains committed to the club. Neil Chappell on the other hand will be hoping that his recent run in the team will continue.

Meanwhile, United will be without UniBond top-scorer Kyle Wilson for a fifth week as the striker is waiting for a scan on his knee after injurying in the 2-1 over Guiseley at the end of January. Former Hyde United hitman Carl Lomax is expected to lead the attack and Margy will decide who will partner him.
