Moses ready for Reds bow

Tunji Moses could finally make his FC United debut against Worksop on Saturday as the Reds look to bounce back from defeat at Ashton United.

The son of former Manchester United midfielder Remi signed for the club in pre-season but has been unable to play due to a lenghty suspension and a troublesome ankle injury.

But with the ban now served and full training resumed, Moses is champing at the bit to delight United supporters with some tough tackling performances like his dad did two decades ago.

Manager Karl Marginson said: "Tunji has stepped up his training of late as his suspension comes to an end and I’m sure he will be raring to get out there and do it for real. I don’t think I’ll throw him in from the start but he will more than likely come off the bench at some point.

"He will give us that extra bit of bite in midfield - a trait he takes from his dad - but he can also play. Many of our fans will have forgotten we’d signed him but once he gets out there they will soon remember as he puts himself about."

United strolled to a 3-0 victory away to Worksop in the FA Trophy on 1st November so the Reds will be confident but nothing can be taken for granted especially considering the Nottinghamshire side won its last match 3-0 at Frickley on New Year’s Day.

Margy added: "We’ll look to get the ball down and play football. With the quality we have in the squad, there’s no reason why we can’t come away with all three points."
