Bar Scarves Twirl

Well they will at Bury Met between 23-25 January!

Following their hugely successful sell out run at Manchester’s Library Theatre, MaD Theatre Company, in association with FC United of Manchester Development Fund, return to Bury Met due to overwhelming popular demand with She’s Just Nipped Out for Fags.

This hilarious slice of modern Mancunian life about a mother, her four kids, her drunken husband, her father-in-law, a faded drag queen, and Manchester United’s exploits in Europe, will have you in stitches.

The MEN described it as "bursting with the sort of energy too much mainstream theatre seems to have long since forgotten" and FC United’s Fanzine Under The Boardwalk said it was "beautifully written and beautifully rendered by fine performers".

She’s Just Nipped Out For Fags is theatre for people who do not go to the theatre - miss it and your life will be just that bit emptier than it should be!

This hilarious slice of modern Mancunian life about a mother, her four kids, her drunken husband, her father-in-law, a faded drag queen, and Manchester United’s exploits in Europe, will have you in stitches.

Rob and Jill at MaD share our vision of taking football, and in particular FC, into the theatre and into the community.

So, if you’ve bought or you’re going to buy tickets, please be encouraged to wear your shirts and scarves and bring our atmosphere along to Bury Met. This really will be like no other theatre you imagine.

We also need a number of your flags and banners to adorn the venue so if you would like to see your red flag flying high please contact 07880 600814 to arrange delivery/collection. All flags/banners used will be returned to Gigg Lane on the morning of Saturday 26th January. Thanks in advance for your support of this initiative.
