Coleman and Priestley

FC United are pleased to announce the signing of 18-year-old winger Theo Coleman who comes from Rochdale FC, where he made regular appearances for the reserve team.

Theo has been identified as, “ a young lad with lots of potential” by Karl Marginson who is keen for him to perform, adding: “Hopefully he can show us his obvious talent.”

FC United are also pleased to announce the return of Phil Priestley as Goalkeeping coach. Phil who joins us from Chorley, is no stranger to the club. Having appeared for Bangor in the UEFA Cup, Phil signed for FC United at the start of the 2005/06 season, he made one appearance for the Reds, an away draw at Winsford.

Margy said: “Phil brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. His fantastic enthusiasm will be a great help to Sam (Ashton) and the younger keepers.”

“It’s great to be back at such a progressive club,” enthused Phil, “this is a superb opportunity to further a career in coaching.”
