Sit down and shut up

Some of you may have to cast your mind back a bit, but much higher up the pyramid than us, there are fans who aren’t able to exercise what seems to be the perfectly reasonable right to stand with their mates at a game.

Well, next Sunday (September 9th) is Safe Standing Day and Wycombe Wanderers FC have agreed to put their heads above the parapet and host a "Fans United Safe Standing Day" at their home match vs Brentford. The kick off is 1.30pm and we understand it is pay on the gate with prices around £12 adults, £4 juniors.

The hope is that fans from as many clubs as possible will gather together and show some solidarity. United fans have always been at the leading edge of supporters’ rights and we think this is something that deserves publicity and support. It is also an opportunity to spread the word, discuss other issues and perhaps put the record straight about what has been going on at both Big and Little United over the past couple of years

FC United are not running transport themselves, but if you don’t want to make your own way down, our friends at MUST and IMUSA are running a coach from Manchester (with the possibility of other pick up points). The coach is being subsidised by MUST, IMUSA and the FSF and will cost only £5.

If you (and friends) think you might be interested, they need to know now so they can get an estimate of numbers. It is first come, first served. Please register your interest here: http://www.joinmust.org/safestanding

Let’s make sure United are represented. The Soul Is One
