FC UNITED of MANCHESTER YOUTH 1 CHEADLE TOWN XI 3

FC United of Manchester Youth team's latest challenge match under the Broadhurst Park 3G floodlights saw the Young Reds go down to a 1-3 home defeat against an open age Cheadle Town XI on Thursday evening.

The visitors' number nine PAT DEVIN was the main difference between the two teams in the first half, scoring the opener on 40 minutes with a low shot past home keeper Lenny Fieldhouse, and then adding a second on 42 minutes with a close range header from a teasing right wing cross.

FC United of Manchester substitute KELVIN AMADO pulled one back for the home side on 66 minutes, when he bundled the ball home from two yards out after the Cheadle Town 'keeper has fumbled a high, hopeful Alex Yates effort.

But visiting forward HARRY HATTON made sure of the final result when he slotted home a cross from the right wing with just six minutes remaining.
