The FC United of Manchester Academy 'B' team were first up in two back-to-back matches on the Broadhurst Park 3G on Wednesday morning/afternoon, and competed well before going down to a 0-4 home friendly match defeat at the hands of iSports FC (Manchester) 1sts.
Team captain Sheriff Kabba had the ball in the visitors' net after just 15 minutes, but his effort was disallowed following a foul during the build up.
The opening goal that did, however, stand, came after 34 minutes when iSports' DYLAN WOODS was allowed a free run at goal before poking the ball into the top corner.
The same player, DYLAN WOODS, then added a second on 57 minutes with a well struck effort from just outside the area.
BRANDON STEVENS then made it 0-3 to the visitors with a deft close range finish to a right wing cross.
And LOGAN WARBURTON concluded the scoring with a low shot from the left on 80 minutes, to make the final score 0-4.
Whilst iSports were good value for their win, the full time scoreline was perhaps a little harsh for a young FC United of Manchester Academy 'B' team for whom this was their first fixture in 2021.
